“Jack’s Shack†is Talbingo’s most exclusive holiday listing. Two years have been spent re-designing and re-building the house which we have named after our baby son, Jackson. One day this will be our family home but for now we are offering it to you.
Time, love and a lot of money have been put into the renovations and this is no longer your average “snowy†house. Extensions have doubled the size of the original house and we have adopted an ‘open plan’ style for the main living areas.
Innovative design, spacious rooms, attention to detail and top class fittings & fixtures all combine to make “Jack’s Shack†one of the nicest homes in Talbingo.
“Jack’s Shack†features:
-Prime location. 360 degree views of the mountains and only a few minutes walk (on flat ground) from any of Talbingo’s amenities including, children’s playground, park, sporting oval, Country Club, golf course, tennis courts, Talbingo Lodge Restaurant, supermarket and service station.
-A massive covered deck measuring 13 metres x 3.5 metres with extra high balustrade and child safety gate. A gas BBQ and outdoor setting have been provided and overlook the landscaped grounds and views of the magnificent mountains. This is a great place to watch the sunsets.
-A large lounge room with ample seating and a number of entertainment options including stereo with CD player, 68cm television, DVD/video player and AUSTAR. The reverse cycle air conditioner operates from this room making the whole house comfortable.
-A separate formal dining area with a 6 seater dining suite and buffet & hutch.
-The custom made kitchen features the latest design techniques and is fully stocked with all cutlery, crockery and cooking needs. White goods include a ceramic stove top with oven, a fridge / freezer and a dishwasher.
-The laundry area includes a large washing machine and dryer. Washing powder is provided for your use.
-The spacious bathroom is a major feature of the home. The double vanity unit, bath tub, extra large shower cubicle, IXL Tastic and seperate toilet, make this a very functional area. Towels, hand towels, soap for the vanity units, and toilet paper (the good stuff) are all provided for your use.
-The three bedrooms are well appointed and a walk-in robe is attached to the main bedroom. Electric blankets and all bedding including sheets have been provided for your convenience. The bedding configurations are as follows:
Bedroom 1 – Double bed
Bedroom 2 – Double bed
Bedroom 3 – ¾ bed with single bunk above
-The property is fully fenced and features extensive pathways and lawn areas with beautiful gardens. The concrete driveway makes access easy and there is a separate entertaining area at the rear of the property.

We like to offer our guests “that little bit extraâ€.
Being avid travellers ourselves we have had many good and bad accommodation experiences. Running a local motel has also given us a great insight into what people want and need when staying away from home.
We aim to use this knowledge to provide our guests with first class service and facilities.
First and foremost we guarantee that your accommodation will be cleaned to the highest standard and ready on time for your arrival.
We provide all linen including sheets, blankets, towels and hand towels. Your beds will be made for you and the temperature controls will be set to combat the external conditions.
Once you are inside you can relax with a nice cuppa. You will find that coffee, tea and sugar have been provided for you along with a small carton of milk.
Necessity items such as washing powder, dishwasher tablets, washing up detergent, toilet paper (the good stuff) and soap for the vanity units have also been supplied for your convenience. The barbeque always has gas and the pegs are easy to find.
You only need to bring your personal effects and food if you wish to self-cater.
A number of mobiles do not work in Talbingo so we have given you access to a phone that will allow you to receive incoming calls and make local calls. Access to fax and internet services can also be discussed.
If you have any special requests we will do our best to accommodate them so please do not hesitate to ask.
Unfortunately this home is not suitable for guests with children under 3 years of age. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
We do not charge per head and we can only accommodate a maximum of 6 people.
