Quamby Homestead, a short drive from the Great Ocean Road, offers the opportunity to soak up some history whilst enjoying excellent accommodation in the serenity of a 3-acre garden setting.
Scattered throughout the garden, the accommodation includes the standard Mews Rooms and the original School and Carriage Houses. The Carriage House has two bedrooms (with king and single beds), bathroom, large living area, kitchen and delightful private terrace garden.
The School House, where the Lindsay children were once educated, now boasts a queen-size bed and bathroom with views over the dam. The five Mews Rooms have queen-size beds and en-suites and are surrounded by attractive gardens. Dinner and breakfast are served in the homestead dining room by a wood fire in winter, or on a shady verandah in the summer months.
Quamby's superb gardens are the main feature of the property. Soak up the ambience, relax and enjoy, or spot kangaroo, echidna, possums, and study the historic plantings in a relaxed, private atmosphere.
